Aroma of warming alcohol and vanilla. Sweet on the nose. Vanilla forward, sweet but not cloying upfront. This is a medium bodied rum. The finish is a bit sweet but warmth and a slight bitterness lingers. Not as complex as I expected based on all the reviews. Easy sipping and good but a little simplistic to my palate. If you don't like sweet rums then I'd avoid but if you do then go for it! I'd give it a 7.5 but I rounded to 8. Definitely a crowd pleaser.

Tady si dovolím být trochu diplomat a řeknu, že tímhle rumem asi nikoho neurazíte.

Was a little disappointed at the harshness neat, but was much better mixed with coke. Has nice liquorice/molasses undertones and a hint of orange peel. However, I expected much better for ~£40, hence the low rating.

I'm not going to claim this is the best rum in the world, but at this price point ($35-40 USD), I have not found a rum that competes.

Way too sweet and one dimensional to be enjoyed except by those who eat pure sugar for breakfast.

Top 5 for me! Just sweet enough and ultra smooth...

A great rum when you can find it. Usually found in rum bars such as Rev de Cuba.

Note: I'm a sipper. My opinion is based on sipping characteristics.

There is some controversy regarding this one. Whether it's dosed and worth the price tag. It's apparently dosed, all right. And it's worth the price tag, all right. And if you set to experience it without caring much about either, you will be rewarded with a truly great experience. On the sweet side, but not overwhelmingly sweet and with bunch of aromas and a slight hint of Cognac.

Pleasant aromas of wood, spice, and vanilla. Almost too sweet except for the wonderful blend baking spices and gentle wood flavors. A very approachable sipper.

Ok, time to be serious.
If you are coming from the background of your local grosser market choices, then yes, this is a fantastic rum. But if we are talking about RUM this is totally an overrated product.
A not too complex pallet of Caramel, toffee and molasses. More sweet taste, probably with added sugar (?). Easily drinkable. At the end not bud for a beginner or an intermidiate taster, but surely not that good as the ratings claims.
