Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva

C est celui qui m amené au rhum. Il y a peut être du sucre ajouté mais je suis sur d en racheter une bouteille.

When I first had this rum years 2 years ago it was stunning. Smooth, flavorful and decadent. However my last exposure two weeks ago was less impressive. I found it cloyingly sweet (to the point it seemed simple syrup was blended in). This was compounded with a syrupy texture akin to a liqueur. I don't know if this rum has fallen victim to the struggles in Venezuela, but the old master has definitely changed. Heading back to my El Dorado - 12\15.

I usually like the sweeter rums, and this is the king of sweet rums! It has a very strong vanilla taste, with a little bit of banana in the background. Great for sipping, great for everyone. A must drink.

Very simply, it is what it is. Best to use in a blender with juice and ice.

Very earthy on the nose and the mouth, but with a subtle sweet finish. For the price, you would be hard pressed to fin a better overall drink. It is truly a great pour that melds well over an ice ball. Proof,positive that you dont have to go expensive to get a great drink.
