Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
Chairman's Reserve rum is produced in St Lucia using continuous and pot stills. The rum from these stills are aged for 3-4 years separetly, then combined and aged for 6 more months to marry the flavors.
The first blend of Chairman’s Reserve was produced in 1999 by St. Lucia Distillers, which was founded in 1932, and overseen by the company's Chairman Laurie Barnard.
Plus intéressant que les rhums qui sont de tout début d'entrée de gamme, sans grande aspérité, sans grand intérêt non plus. Alcool trop présent au nez, en déséquilibre, brûlant en bouche. OK dans l'ensemble.
title speaks for itself. Not exactly for sipping, but great for cocktails
Clear golden amber colour; caramel and spice aromas with a touch of citrus. Strong alcohol when sipped with a round flavour that matches the nose; smooth soft finish
Tasty enough but it was left in the cupboard until the Pussers was finished.
This rum is good enough to enjoy on its own, but I would recommend it as a rum that turns a rum and mixture one step up. Great for sharing with friends.
En rigtig fin rom til prisen (under 200 kr..). Nu mere jeg drikker des bedre smager den.
Ikke helt i toppen, men absolut høj værdi for pengene
Fair price for a decent rum to use in cocktails. The burn is a little too much to be sipped neat, plus the complexity of the rum falls short due to the short amount of time it has been aged. Looking forward to trying Chairman's Forgotten Cask, hoping for better results.
Gets better when it sits for a while. Still, not fantastic.
It's alright, maybe a hint of vanilla. Not sure I'd buy another bottle but it would do in a pinch.
This rum starts sweet and warm. The finish has an alcohol taste wich is not too strong. Do let it breathe for a while, it improves this rum a lot.
Received as a gift. I keep trying it straight and with different mixes, hoping it gets better. So far, it has not. A 4.5 on my scale of 10.
Very nice for mixing open to let it breath for a little and sip away
Aroma: floral, honey and at the same time dry, spices dominant flavor, light vanilla, oak
Taste: smooth, dry, spicy, peppery. Liquid body
Aftertaste: short, soft. First sweetness, then there is oak bitterness
Classic rum. You will not find anything complex in it. Dry, smooth, spicy. Feels young. For a little money you can take for a drink.
65 points. If there was less bitterness in the aftertaste, you could put more.
Chairmans is a nice tasty woody honey flavoured rum, nice with Coke and a slice of lime
Like the classic tasty of chairman, but average rum.
Very nice aroma, smooth taste, full body with wood tobes.
I was expecting better. I was told this was a good sipping rum. Not for my taste. Good as a mixer. For the price, there's much better out there.
Smooth with a nice honey coloring.. Nothing wrong with it and nice to drink whilst relaxing with a book or paper..
Just not fully "up there"
A slightly rubbery character in the nose with raisins, honey, vanilla and a bit of oak. The pot still is apparent. Not bad. The notes follow through in the mouth. It's not extraordinarily refined, but enough so given the price and to my palette, enjoyable neat. A nice and cheap dram.
The rum has a flawless aroma and taste and their detailed descriptions are already brought here by the others. My personal attitude is positively twisted by the fact that we ordered this drink after a successful foosball tournament. To conclude, there's a strong desire to taste it again.
A present which is very very drinkable. a must try
Don't mean to judge it unfairly, it's quite OK if you run out of alternatives but fails to be the kind of Rum you will look for next time you want to share a qualitative drink with good company.
Not sweet, not to harsh ... I tend to find everything quite neutral about this one.
I like the flavor and full body. It does not have all of the flavors that top brands do but good all the same. I will get it again in the future.
Not the best sipping rum I've ever had. For the price, there's much better out there.
