Let's not beat around the bush, this s••t is f•••••g delicious and everyone knows it. There may be better out there for me, but I haven't found it y
Best of the best
This is the best of the “standard” El Dorados. More an evolution of the 12 than the 15, which is a good thing. Perfectly balanced, smooth with just th
XO 20th Anniversary
This is cracking stuff. No alcohol burn. Rich Spicy hit up front mellows into long smooth vanilla aftertaste. Banging I am drinking overlooking the
Better than 15?
El Dorado 15 was the first good rum I ever tried and remained my favourite for years. I never sought out the 12 assuming it would be inferior. I was w
This has all the good stuff from the 23 with more on top. More alcohol burn but so much more complexity. Smokey, oaky and delicious. The flavours sta
Can't smell it
No nose but the flavour is moorish. It's only just an eight for me. More a 7.5
Wish it lingered.
Delicious and super smooth. However, I find I have to really work it in my mouth to get the most from the flavour which doesn't hang around for long e
Used to be a 9/10
Always a favourite and the run against which I judge all others. Only the fact I'm writing this years later, having tasted many more and being blown a
Good at any price but for the bargain it is, up there as one to beat. Nose similar to Havana anejo but taste far superior.
All orange and vanilla. I can tell this is delicious but the orange flavour reminds me of the first time I got drunk as a small boy and the memory i
Has a fresher taste than most, distinctive as most good runs are.
Unbeatable for the price
Unrefined but for the price it's incredible, I've paid €12 a bottle on occasion. After Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva this is my most bought bottle.
Easy go to dram
I have issues enjoying Reserva, I spend a lot of time in France where I can buy it for €23 +tax, great value. However, I can get the Exclusiva for €26
Two drinks in one. What starts out as a rum turns quickly into sherry. The experience is unusual but a tasty change from the norm. I just wish the r
Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva
Good, then not, then good again. Havana Club flavours with a sour punch. Happy to drink but can't see myself choosing it from the shelf with excit
Master Distillers Blenders Edition
Do I like it?
Unusual flavour (good) develops into a long mouth feel (not as good). I don't mind it but I'm drunk so should like it more.
Selección de Maestros
At 48% this is a little harsh for my mouth. A good bridge between a rum and whisky but too expensive to be worth re visiting.
Not as good as the anejo especial which is a supermarket shelfer. I was expecting more and almost gave it a 5.
Diplomatico to mix?
You can taste the Diplomatico flavours in here but just lacks refinement. I drink all rum straight but if you want something interesting to mix, this
My first sample of Martinique rum. The bottle looked lovely and the colour sublime. I no longer drink Martinique rum. This stuff is bogus.
My second taste of Martinique rum. Should've learned my lesson the first time. 1 litre of petrol is £1.10 at the moment and a better way to spend your
