In the Chicago area I'm buying this stuff at just over $19 a bottle. I've been sipping it with just a few DROPS of water. For the price I find it an e
Hard to find better value
A very solid tasting rum. I find I can sip it neat, or on a few rocks. Trying to be consistent with my reviews, I just gaveCruzan a 7; this one gets
5 Star Reserve Especiale 8-Year
Have it on the rocks
Definite quality rum. It's great on the rocks - you can sip it also. i want to buy another bottle; it is a bit pricey coming from Haiti.
Kirk and Sweeney
Easy to sip this on the rocks. I give it an 8+. For a while it was available at Costco a pretty good deal at $28. Have to shop elsewhere for it now.
Pineapple Stiggin's Fancy
UNIQUE FLAVOR- Definitely an unusual rum
The pineapple hits you right away, yet after a few sips I wanted more. they are able to pull off a fruity pineapple taste without making it so sweet
Gran Reserva 12-Year
another one to sip
I made a comparison of this with Kirk and Sweeney 12-year-old the other night. Like both the same way. This one might have a few more flavors in the
I like it, although it may not be best value
A fine rum. I bought it in a great grocery store in Minocqua , Wisconsin. It was about $32. I used it mostly with tonic. It has a ''True" rum taste.
A cut above
Strong flavors of a strong blend of rums. Not fruity or vanilla tasting. OK to sip or on rocks. I enjoyed it with a bit of tonic.
A good sipper, liked the packaging
Needs time to breathe. The store clerk told me Bacardi is taking over this company.Packaging is effective and eye catching with the miniature wooden b
For $23 it is great. I think that was the price. Regardless, it fantastic to sip with a tumbler full of rocks, and lime.
pretty solid effort for the mass market
Initially, put off by seeing the Bacardi label, but bought it regardless. It does not have a wild after taste. I sense a bit of the molasses and vanil
I was expecting more.
I did not detect all the flavors that the first reviewer ( Mr. Outman) did, however, I do like it. For the money it is not a bargain - upwards of $33
The Real McCoy
bourbon taste shows up
When this one is sipped it has a strong whiskey-like initial bite. it has flavor but is a bit harsh. It does open up a bit after a "few".
I saw it on the shelf for $12. Have mixed it with tonic. I experimented with a few other concoctions including grape juice, bitters, lemon. It make a
Black Gold Special Reserve
not a lot of shelf space at the liquor store.
Tried it as an alternative to Myers Dark. I like it. Highly recommend it with a lime and a bit of tonic. Makes a nice cocktail to tote around at a p
My first agricole
I finished this off at Christmas time, and have forgotten most of the critical particulars. It was the first Agricole I have had; so I am not expert o
Ok, good value.
Saw the bottle in a liquor store in Illinois. Bought a smallish bottle for $10. It gave me an opportunity to try it and not regret spending much money
Best rum in swizzles
I was introduced to this as it was poured on top of a white rum stone sour cocktail in a round glass with crushed ice.Don't forget to garnish with a c
Good value rum
I put it somewhere between 6 and 7 for a rating. The dark bottle suggests that it will be darker than it actually is. The taste is certainly palatable
OK, I was expecting more
Somewhat of an ordinary taste. I don't feel its worth the money. The appleton name gives it shelf space, but I preferred El Dorado12( as did a previo
Good value/ rum to mix
For me, it's not quite a rum to sip. Maybe more aging than 5 years would improve it. $ 18 at the supermarket.
Good value rum
Bought some of this in Florida, and didn't get to finish the bottle. Pretty good value, as it is the least expensive on the Appleton menu. I drank it
More like a Bourbon
Taste is, of course, personal, and this one didn't suit mine. With all due respects to the other reviewers, I did not like this. I gave it a 5. It's
Thought this was a bargain at the time. You have to mix it - it's not for sipping. Watch out for an awful hangover. I'm biased now against spiced rum
Not for me.
I eventually tried as recommended in a caipiriha as suggested by my daughter in law. If you squeeze a 2 or 3 juicy lime wedges into the bottom of a g
thought I would try it
I've seen this on the shelf at the grocery store liquor department. It was just under $20. Tastewise it doesn't have much - its not harsh. There are
