Love it! Smooth, sweet, and complex with hints of vanilla and caramel. Bought a bunch when on sale at duty free. I prefer this to the 30 year.

Barbancourt Reserve du Domaine 15-year

Rhum Agricole Re-tasted last weekend and ranked second in my flight of 5. Much less burn than the last time I tasted. Clean and smooth with traces of cognac cask.

Preferred Bajan Rum Excellent sipper in the style of Abuelo 12, El Dorado 15, Zaya, and Zacapa. I prefer this to Mount Gay which is dryer and oakier.

Good value Excellent for mixing, but the 12 year is better for sipping.

Lots of oak Oaky and woody and less sweet than 20 or 25 year. I prefer the sweeter ones which also cost less. I would go with the 25.

Kirk and Sweeney 23-year

Tasty I thought this would be significantly smoother on the finish but was a bit harsher than expected.

Angostura 1824 12-year

12 year offering Drinkable 12 year. Not particularly smooth or sweet with some smoke and leather.

Good Mixer Good for Mojitos but otherwise prefer darker rums for mixing with cola or for pina coladas. I think this is smoother than Bacardi or Don Q.

Bohemio 15-year

on the dry side Not as typically sweet as I prefer but good value if you can find it.

Dos Maderas 5+3

go for the 5+5 Tastes like an 8 year old rum but the 5+5 is worth the price difference.

Appleton Estate Extra 12-year

Complex but not real sweet Has more burn than would expect for age, but reasonably complex. Would buy again when on sale.

Agree Agree with most reviewers on this site. Drinkable but in middle of the pack.
