Get the next one up. It’s ok I guess, but it’s very one note.
Plantation Barbados Grande Reserve review posted 1 hour ago by Benjamin S. Denmark 🇩🇰 | 17 ratings
Bought this by mistake thinking it was the Plantation 5 years (the labels look a lot alike).
And compared to the 5 years it falls short by a significant margin, especially as a sipper.
It is not great and not terrible and can be sipped or mixed.

Not suited for sipping in my opinion - only for mixing.
It is very good with coke though.
Ryoma Rhum Japonais 1-Year review posted 2 hours ago by LUKAŽIGA Slovenia 🇸🇮 | 100 ratings
8:The nose is immediately full of character, with strong fermentation notes of mushroom, undergrowth and ripe fruit. In this complex rum, aromas of toasted cereals, fermented rice and soy sauce can also be detected, with a highly concentrated balsamic edge underlined by nuts.
Aeration adds an extremely chocolatey character, coffee with complex cocoa nourished by sweet chili, soy sauce, rancio, nuts, with an oxidized side reminiscent of sherry. The finish drifts naturally onto dried fruit, dark currants and a hint of iodine.
8:On the palate, we find exactly the same profile as on the nose, with a mellowness that now makes it very gourmand. Caramel plays an important role, as does molasses, and these two essential ingredients are tinged with fermented rice, cereals and then more pastry notes like vanilla.
7,5:The finish gives the impression of a rather round rum, still complex and typically Japanese in its rice-oriented style.

Even for mixing it is not very good.
I only keep a bottle around to put in my tea when I'm sick.
Dictador 10-Year review posted 2 hours ago by mcsolar Czechia 🇨🇿 | 54 ratings
It was gift from my wife's granma. A great nose, smelled so good right from the opening I knew I would enjoy this rum. I am looking forward for another Dictador rums.

There are much better pineapple-flavored rums than this one.
Quite good with coke.

Bought this on a recent trip to Cuba. It ain't the best but it's not cheating.
Havana Club 3-Year review posted 2 hours ago by Benjamin S. Denmark 🇩🇰 | 17 ratings
A decent widely available mixing rum that goes great in mojitos.
Plantation Original Dark Double Aged Trinidad & Jamaica review posted 2 hours ago by Benjamin S. Denmark 🇩🇰 | 17 ratings
To be honest, it has been a while since I tasted this and my palette has evolved since then, so I will have to revisit it at some time.
That being said, I remember it as an awful sipper and a decent mixer (with cola).

Bought it for Mai Tais
Not very nice as a sipper.
Decent in cocktails.
Plantation 3 Stars Artisanal review posted 2 hours ago by Benjamin S. Denmark 🇩🇰 | 17 ratings
Can be sipped but this is not where it shines.
As a white cocktail rum, it is above the rest.
My absolute favorite daiquiri rum.

Not a sipper.
Goes great in cocktails like mojitos.
El Dorado 8-Year review posted 2 hours ago by Benjamin S. Denmark 🇩🇰 | 17 ratings
Sweet toffee brown sugar notes.
Not very complex but enjoyable enough.
Where it shines is in cocktails.

Little brother of the Plantation XO.
Sweet with hints of vanilla, caramel and coconut.
Great for sipping. Good choice for a starter.

Havana Club 3-Year review posted 4 hours ago by ski Denmark 🇩🇰 | 1 rating
Havana Club 3-Year is a delightful introduction to the world of rum. Its pale golden hue promises a light and approachable experience, perfect for those stepping into the rum realm. The aroma hints at sugarcane sweetness, with subtle notes of vanilla and oak. On the palate, it offers a smooth and gentle texture, with flavors of caramel and tropical fruits dancing on the tongue. While the finish is relatively short, it leaves a lingering warmth, inviting you to take another sip. Overall, Havana Club 3-Year is a solid choice for beginners, offering a glimpse into the diverse and flavorful world of rum.

Neat - very good, strong and smokey. In cocktails can't feel the smoke, just a little bit sweet. Nice rum, tasty

Beautiful taste and very smooth but artificially sweetened. Tastes very nice but would probably not get it again.
Initial caramel smells and tobacco on the pallet which goes into caramel and vanilla.

Ganske ok rom, lidt skarp i smagen men ikke dårlig
Grander Port Cask 10-Year review posted 16 hours ago by Boomer United States 🇺🇸 | 12 ratings
Needs some sweetness, to offset the burn which I'd assume the port would give it like normal but not here
Doorly's XO 6-Year review posted 16 hours ago by ErikV12 United States 🇺🇸 | 64 ratings
Can’t complain for the price it cost. Foursquare is definitely the rum for people who are usually bourbon drinkers. Still pretty smooth, and like I said, for under $25, no complaints here

Good for a cheap white rum. Good value for what you are getting.
Diplomatico Planas review posted 18 hours ago by RhettB3 United States 🇺🇸 | 26 ratings
Very good for a white rum, has a good flavor, and is good for mixing.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Appleton Estate Rare Casks 12-Year review posted 1 hour ago by LUKAŽIGA Slovenia 🇸🇮 | 100 ratings
9,5:On the nose, we have Jamaican markers combined with sweetness: ether, glue, vanilla, orange, grapes, plums, mango, banana, passion fruit and walnut. The whole is complex, yet easy to drink. Very tempting...
9:On the palate, the attack is supple without being sweet.Notes from the nose are present, some caramel added. A certain woodiness accompanies vanilla and orange peel. The whole is not devoid of vivacity.
8,5:The fairly long vanilla-dominated finish reveals a touch of cocoa, some black tea.
Well rounded, nose great, but finish-Still very good, not on its level.
