This rum is hard to find. It hold a family business persona. Easy to drink, yet plenty of flavors are sensed.

The colour is quite light for an 12 year old rum.
What i really like about this dry rum is that it is very soft. Taste a little wood a little bitter, nuts, just an easy sipper.

This had a nice smooth flavor profile without a lot of sweetness. Not super complex, but some nice subtle flavors. Could be a sipper or a high-end mixer. I paid $17 for this at “The House” in San Juan, PR. The manager mentioned this is a great aged rum that is affordable and mostly produced for local consumption. It is not widely available outside of PR, which is probably why I see some people complaining about the price ($35-45) on the mainland. Maybe I need a larger suitcase for my next trip ;-)

Fantastic packaging with a nice nose, this rum want to be a mid plus sipper but not for me. Some nut smells and woods make the aroma appealing but on the tongue the burn is predominate and hangs with you.

A different kind of mixer with the rum not adding. Best with citrus, typical of a drier rum, but lost in Coke. Once again I did not blend it but do not think there is anything there for most drinks.

Not a bad rum just not above average and is priced to be something special; not in my long term plans.

I was really impressed by the bottle, and the rum is a decent smooth relatively dry rum. Smells and tastes of oak, almonds, spice, and maple. Another great expression from Puerto Rico.

The first glance of this beautiful bottle tells you to expect something just great. This spirit is a great introductionary rum for those who aren’t ready for the standard rums. It is definitely a conversation piece at any table or party. A wonderful gift at a reasonable price and a great addition to anyone’s bar. I highly recommend. Found only in specialty shops i.e duty free shops

I was impressed with this one. Great flavors profile and very easy to sip. Not a lot of burn on the finish. Love the woody hints. It is a bit drier than I had expected.

I was really impressed by the bottle, but the rum is just a relatively dry, decent rum to me.

Smells and tastes of oak, almonds, spice, and maple. A decent rum, but I personally prefer the Ron Del Barrilito 3 Star as an affordable Puerto Rican rum.

Beautiful honey yellow with gold reflections in the glass.
In the nose fresh, light and fruity, white fruits, vanilla, wood and light resin nuances.
On the palate very discreet and soft, vanilla pudding, chocolate cream, orange zest and caramel are very harmoniously balanced.
In the finish first a little "fiery", then very tasty, vanilla and chocolate remain long in the mouth.
A very light rum of the beginners entices and gourmets to a strong cigar tempts. 7+
