Drank a fair bit of this in 2019 in Barbados. Really enjoyed it. Not too much of a burn and just the right amount of sweetness. Have a bottle that a brought back with me and it’s always a go to when the sun is shining.

Bought at St Vincent airport duty free for $19, well worth that price. Been drinking it on a cube of ice. Good balance, not super complex, but easy to drink.

Maybe, everyone like this. It is midium light body, mild and creamy taste. There is a little rubber aroma.

I have heard such a lot about this and was expecting more. Frankly, at this price point, I'd expect more. It certainly not sweet, and that's fine, but it's quite bitter...and to me, at least, that not fine. I've heard all the reports about it's wonderful smell for the price. I didn't find that. I'd go as far as to say that I thought this was a bit rough on both the nose and the tongue. I found it a bit short on the finish too. I think Havana Club Especial is way better and that is roughly 9 or 10 pounds cheaper. I'd much rather pay an extra £2 - £5 and have something considerably more complex and interesting.

It's not my style and taste is bitter and ordinary, there is nothing special.

N- Seemingly with great reputation as one of the best rum around. Let's see... Ashy burnt barks and old leathers set in well with musky wood notes. Mildly sugared with gentle toasty breads and peanut butter, whiff of life-less flour or probably dry petals. (19/25)

P- Medium body with banana, some white raisin, spice jar and hue of pepper. Balanced with oak driven but restrained by low strength, somehow generic and probably an entry level dram. An average blended whisky equivalent. (18/25)

F- Short-medium, toasted wood, spicy coating with rough around the edges, but not unpleasant, it just appeared being generic. (17/25)

Balanced- Appreciated less with fact on the absent of originality as the molasses are from others. Nonetheless, balanced and decent. (17/25)

Smooth but with a rugged finish, oak and vanilla. Hint of coconut.

its a very nice rum. Reminds me of Mt. Gay XO. The bourbon in oak casks comes through easily but theres plenty of honey , caramel and brown sugar flavours as well. Great bouquet , spices and fruit (maybe raisins) Quite dry and with a slightly rough edge but a nice finish with a small burn. My only gripe is the cheap metal screw on cap which is covered by a sealed almost impossible cover to remove ! My finger still has the scissors scar.. beware.

Just try it, it will be not your the most complex rum experience, but I am sure you will like it !

This rum is dry and focussed in the mouth with lovely balance and a fruity, spicy character.
