Another tasting kit swag, and am damn surprised. On the nose dark rich pure coffee scent. 72 proof and clearly labeled Coffee Rum liquor, exactly what it is, and appreciate the honesty and clarity. Regarding the actual rum I would no hesitate to order this for an after dinner cordial. Much more complicated and complex than tequila. This distillery has got some good things going on.

This is an excellent take on a coffee liquor. It is rich, full of coffee flavor, and just the right amount of sweetness. I really enjoyed this rum.

Slightly bitter for my taste

I got to try this as part of the rum ratings club tastings and was interested in comparing this to some of my other coffee rums. But I wasn't such a big fan because I found this to be a bit bitter for me.
Sure, it tastes a lot like coffee, but I'm more of a rum drinker, and simply didn't care for this much.
If you're ok with a slightly bitter coffee drink, that does taste a lot like coffee, then you should like this more than I do, but I'm more of a fan of the Brinley Gold Coffee and especially the Koloa Coffee rums. :-)
