I’ve started using this with fruit-heavy tiki drinks to drive up the alcohol content and flavour without bringing the astringent rummy-ness into the drink. Lots of sweet esters here, you *can* sip this neat but expect a numb tongue!
Bought this to make coffee bitters and ended up using it in countless old fashioneds watered down to 100 proof.
This is an excellent cocktail rum if you don't want your rum drowned out by the other ingredients.
