Cape Cod Amber rum

Cape Cod Amber

United States | Gold | 40% ABV

Crook Jaw’s Cape Cod Amber Rum, a pot-distilled, Grade A molasses-based rum that’s distilled multiple times and then aged for one to two years. It begins aging in used bourbon barrels and is then moved to used rye whiskey barrels before it’s finished in new American white oak barrels. Rums from various barrels are blended and bottled at 80 proof.

This is (for me) a local rum. I found it to have a reasonable flavor profile but very difficult to consume straight, as it has an unpleasant aftertaste. However, it does mix well, especially in a rum and coke!
