Don Q 2009 Signature Release Single Barrel 10-Year

Aroma is gentle with caramel and wooden tones. Taste is strong (as you could expect from 49,25% ) but not burning. You can identify brown sugar, caramel and even creme brule and banana. Perfect price (approx.43Eur in Czech Republic) for 10y Single barrel Cask strength rum !

One of my current favorites. This 10 year old Single Cask Rum comes with lovely 49.25 % Vol. The nose has notes from french red wine, ripe fruits and Bourbon Cask Single Malt. The tasting keeps what the smell promises. Alcohol is well integrated with fruit notes. A deep character that flatters the palate. A long finish on top. Make sure you taste this one before it's to late.

It has 49,25% abv and you can feel it when sipping together with some other premium stuff. Although, if you would bring it along with some 25 euro rum - it would seem smoother for sure. It's dry and oaky, leaving a strange (in a good way) aftertaste which leaves you wondering and wanting to taste once more.

Very good woody and dry rum. Definitely oak bourbon flavour which perfect compliment with the molasses aftertaste. Long finish, exactly how I liked. Must try.

Chuť: Příjemně nasládlý, doplněno krémovou dřevitostí, mléčné karamelky, pikantní dochuť. (85 b)
Body: 85/100
Shrnutí: Dobrá voltáž, celkově možná trochu zapomenutelný, ale určitě není špatný. Ochutnán s kamarádem v rámci degustace sedmi rumů na naší lednové akci. Letos jsme začali už desátý rok společných koštů.

Nekem nagyon bejött ez a rum, tökéletes az alkoholfoka és az "édessége" mintha egy kolumbiai és egy jamaikai rumot ötvöznének. Ajánlom!!!

Solid rum, nothing super special but very good. Tastes like a typical bourbon-barrel aged rum, with a bunch of oak flavor and not that much complexity behind it.
