Ron Esclavo 2015 Gran Reserva 3-Year

This is a very unique and flavorsome rum with notes of leather, dark chocolate, molasses and hints of vanilla. I would call it a scotch lovers rum (my friends who love scotch seem to like this rum very much). The finish is rich and oaky. It is quite enjoyable, especially with a cigar, however I usually switch to a smoother, lighter rum for a second glass.

Rum je sladší už podľa vône. Cítiť najmä karamel a jemne ovocie. V chuti rovnako karamel, vanilku a na záver horkú čokoládu. Toto ma veľmi baví. Naviac za cenu 15,99 za ktorú som ho kúpil je to naozaj super!!

Great, sweet rum. Dense, round, very sweet, full of taste rum. Amazing for such a price.

Have to join the majority here. Although I liked it very much and was initially going to give it an 8, it's a definitive 7. Hands down, an excellent sipper, no afterburn, but not much of a development or complexity either and that's where it falls behind. Can compare it to the 15-year Matusalem, just half as expensive. Would suit perfectly most untrained palates and it's a great gateway rum to get your significant other into rum drinking. Hence my comparison to Matusalem, as these were the two rums my wife raised a brow and said I like this, hit me with some more.

Because I bought it at the end of 2021 in a shopping center. And none year appears on the bottle (at least in Poland). Nevertheless it's good for sipping.

Sweet Nose of vanilla, light apricot and milk chocolate. Actually quite good. Taste of vanilla and bit of chocolate. Sadly a little light but not that bad, but a lack of depth makes it a bit boring. But the Price is right. A few years longer in the barrels would do it good.
