definitely smokey, charcoaly, with a hint of carmel / vanilla. definitely a mixer. do not recommend, not a big fan. very cheap at 6.99 at total wine. will never buy again.

This rum is meant for mixing and not to be sipped. Good for a rum and cola.

Not sure why all the low reviews. I was pleasantly suprised by this rum. Very easy to drink straight, no burn and nice aftertaste.

Surprisingly nice better than I expected but I can only give an average mark

Great price, if you want spiced rum in a mixed drink and aren’t too particular. It has a lot of Vanilla taste, followed by a warm spiced finish. A decent mixer.
This is my fourth rum. So can't say I'm an expert but this is fine. Nothing extraordinary but nice.
Great rum to mix. pure is this one not super bad. But its beter when mixed

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Seriously - if you love vanilla, you'll love this. I expect it would work in root beer or on ice cream, but straight up it's a sweet vanilla bomb.
Much too sweet, and nothing much more than alcoholic vanilla - it overwhelms any sort of spice that might be in there. I'm unsure how this qualifies as rum. Smooth? of course it is! It's practically soda pop, without the fizz.
