Given as a Christmas gift this rum was interesting.
Definitely floral Rose notes to start with mildly salty, gunpowder taste to finish.
Certainly very smooth with very little burn.
If I didn’t know it was rum I would think this tastes more like a whiskey, as it’s not sweet and has a bold flavour.
What a wonderful rum. This is not a sweet rum. You will not be disappointed. A sipper for sure.
Nice floral taste with a salted aftertaste
Not to bad but a bit of a burn
Rhum de dégustation? Rhum avec un goût très particulier, à essayer.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I moved from the UK to Newfoundland in 2020, so this is well and truly in the cabinet. However, the salt, acting as a less toxic equivalent to saltpeter found in gunpowder, gives this a roughness that might otherwise not be there. The novelty is appealing at first, but generally I find this aspect makes it a bit of an effort to drink compared to other rums in the price range. It also doesn't work well in mixed drinks as far as my experience goes.
