Borgoe Reserve Collection 12-Year

Not sure if they add color to this rum, but it sure seems darker than 12 years aging normally would unless PX sherry casks are used. Some molasses on the mid palate and a long sweet finish.

Very nice caramel color. Vanilla, caramel, and citrus on the nose. Toffee, caramel, pepper for the taste. Peppery aftertaste. Not bad at all. Solid pairing with a nice cigar.

Everything about it was just alright. Nothing special but not offensive. At least it was a bit darker than several of the other samples in this quarters shipment.

Kan bara hålla med tidigare recensioner. Lätt sötma (precis i min smak) men lite "meh" för övrigt. Ek, citruszest och karamellig. Helt OK men inte mer.

Trying to find something redeeming here, but it’s taking me back to my 20’s when I drank $10 bottles of rum with coke. Don’t think I would have ever been privy to this rum without the tasting club and I really love trying rare and unusual rums. But I still can’t warrant more than a 5, for straight sipping especially contending with so much better 12 year old rums.

Helt ok men verkligen inget speciellt. Lite rivig inte så söt.

A rum with a really great colour. Nose spicy and some medcine. There is a strong taste of pepper which will last for quite a while. Interesting rum.
