Plantation 1997 Kilchoman Peated Whisky Finish 15-Year

The 22 year old version is just a whisper better. This is very good. Beautiful color. Nose is full of peat and light salt. Incedible complexity from a smooth rum with that mouth filling peat. Very smooth bite. There is a lot going on here. very delicius, very complex. The finish is long with smoke and a hint of salt. Outstanding. Woth every penny. Scotch drinkes will love this. Smooth. Nice sipper.

Rum zrál 15,5 roku v tropech v sudech po bourbonu, 6 let kontinentálního zrání v sudech po koňaku Ferrand a 4 měsíce po rašelinné whisky Kilchoman.
Rum pcohází z destilerie TDL.

Dozvuk: Teprve nyní se objevuje nakouřená rašelina jakoby obalená čokoládou

Vůně slabá až zastřená, chuť povedená a dozvuk výborný. Zajímavý rum.

Smooth, not sweet, slight phenolic tang from islay cask, fruity finish

According to the label, after 15 years tropical aging this baby gets another 6 years in a Ferrand cask then 4 months in Kilchoman whisky cask. The result is smooth and multi layered, with a soft long finish. Superb!

Great rum form Plantations 2019 Single Cask collection. Despite only 4months in Kilchoman casks the whiskey notes are prominent. For a lover of Islay whiskey this rum is the best of both worlds. However, as all the single casks I've tasted, it is quite strong burn. But the taste makes up for it
