Mhoba Select Reserve French Cask

Al naso aceto, arrostito/tostato, frutta (banana e agrumi), maturati, solvente e un tocco di sakè.
Al palato solvente, aglio, cicoccolato, frutta e bosco speziato.
Finale poco persistente, speziato. con qualche estere e castagne.
Purtroppo non è il genere di profilo che mi piace bere in un agricolo, se non ci fosse il sapore dell'aglio avrebbe superato tranquillamente i 75, degustibus

Malgré son degré, ce rhum est un vrai plaisir de richesse et de complexité. Des fruits et des esters à souhait sans jamais exagérer.

Last sample of the night with Mhoba Select Reserve French Cask bottled at 65% ABV. I will admit that I found the nose somewhat disappointing on this rum but once the sample hit my tongue it was very smooth and wonderful and it immediately grew on me. Very nice rum indeed which belongs in the top tier.

Fantastisk kompleks rom - stærk men rigtig god.

This rum has a lot faces. From esters to floral notes to caramell, then chocolate. Very complex.

Nice burny aftertaste but don't let it wallow on the tongue too long (burny and dry experience). Kind of the rum to sip shortly before facing the threat of hypothermia :)

Úplně super rum. Barva krásne jantarova, vune po medu, dřevu. Chuť úžasná je v tom drevo, ovoce - jablko, hrozné. Závěr štiplavý ale tak příjemne.

Profumo fruttato con fragranza di mele e dolci. Molto equilibrato per essere un rum high proof, al palato si nota la frutta tropicale e la nota avvolgente di canna da zucchero con finale di frutta rossa speziata. Molto gradite le note di rovere francese addolcite dalle butti precedentemente utilizzate per contenere vino rosso cape.
Ho acquistato questo rum dopo aver già assaggiato anche l'altra produzione Mhoba, il Select Reserve Glass Cask.
