Schönes Bernstein im Glas.
In der Nase sehr elegant, kandierte Früchte, Vanille, zarte Holztöne.
Im Gaumen schön ausgewogen, in Karamell getunkte tropische Früchte und Vanille Pudding mit etwas Gebäck.
Im Abgang klingt das Ganze herrlich nach.....mmmmm….
Netter Rhum zum Nichtstun. Zum 5-Jährigen natürlich reifer und tiefer, ich bevorzuge den 10-Jährigen dieser Serie.

Beautiful amber in a glass.
In the nose very elegant, candied fruits, vanilla, delicate wood tones.
On the palate beautifully balanced, in caramel dipped tropical fruits and vanilla pudding with some pastry.
In the finish the whole sounds wonderfully after......mmmmm....
Nice Rhum for doing nothing. To the 5-year-old naturally more mature and deeper, I prefer the 10-year-old of this series.

Au nez, on détecte des notes empyreumatiques (boisées et fumées), voire même quelques notes de solvant!
L'attaque en bouche est assez classique sur le caramel, mais les notes fumées reviennent assez vite à la charge. Le rhum est rond, bien équilibré et la brûlure de l'alcool n'arrive qu'en fin de bouche.
Un rhum agréable à découvrir!

Very nice traditional rhum from La Réunion with a pleasant flavor of prune. Cost 36€ only when bought locally. I personally prefer this one than the 10-years old version, thought the later develop a smoother smell.

But somehow it did not impress me.................
