The rum is very subtle, with hints of banana and citrus.

Not a common Caroni, just a light Trinidad rum, too expensive 6 out of 10
It's verly light in the nose (like a 10y old Panama rum, the flavours are not typical Caroni). The taste is better, but it's still not a typical Caroni.
Felicite Gold has some Trinidad aromas like medicine in the taste, but there is still not enough dirty aromas.
Maybe it's not bad to know what rum Caroni has produced in the early days.
There are still some bottles of Bristol 17y Caroni for 90€ on the market. Buy them, next years they will be hard to get.
Smell: very light smell, coconut, vanilla, citrus, oak, some fruits like plum (if you expected dirty aromas, I must disappoint you).
Taste initial/middle: vanilla, slightly tar, dark fruit, medicine, salt, citrus, liquorice, some bitterness
Finish: short, spice, citrus, salt, medicine
