Light gold in color, and I found fairly bland tasting. I’ve used it in some tiki drinks where other stronger runs are the star so it works for that, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
A French company that adds sweeteners to their rums making them boring, yet talk about terroir and call their bottlings “Grand Crus” – the irony! It’s easy to drink and could be worse in terms of sweetness, but it has little character to it and I’m not a fan.
not sure if this is the 12yo thing, but this Anacaona Gran Reserva is a nice blend, no alcohol on the nose, just a bit on the tongue, quite dry - might be a good mixer although I havent tried it in cocktail yet, taste of barrel maybe, minimum of sugar and by color i guess minimum colorings, a bit of irish whisky or young but mild cognac taste hidden in it... definitely interesting rum to try, still a good sipper especially if you aim to have more than 5 glasses (in such cases i prefer rather not sweet rums), give it a shot! definitely on a better side od rum spectrum
Not so bad but body is not full. Dry more smells like Don papa.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Cheap bottle that was recommended. Not bad. Nothing special. Smooth enough, not a lot of flavor.
