Rumbero 7-Year

Selvom denne rom skulle have lagret i 7 år det ikke ændret den meget fra dens lillebror på 3 år.
Meget kraftige noter af vanilje kokos og eftersmag af egetræ.
Kan kun bruges til miksede drinks.

Part two of the boring rums from Lidl is this 7-year old. I got this sample as a gift alongside the 3-year old, and this was only slightly better.

Nose: A small hint of wood joins the smell of suger, water and alcohol
Taste: Little to no flavour. If I should be generous there is a faint hint of sugar-oak in the taste
Overall: The only reason for buying this one would be to give it as a gag -gift for a rum snob. It is boring. Nothing more to say about this.

Part of a tasting set I got as a gift. Barely any taste, and aftertaste is just the whiff of alcohol that lingers.

Smak: Lekko słodki, waniliowy, rozgrzewający alkohol, wyraźna melasa, lekki palony cukier.

Zapach: Wiśnie, dębina, melasa, trochę mlecznej czekolady i wanilii. Ogólnie zapach płaski oraz ostry.

W zapachu jest bogatsza niż Rumbero 3yo ale niestety równie alkoholowa. Po wersji 7yo oczekiwałem więcej - ale mimo wszystko za cenę poniżej 50pln warto. Ale te czasy chyba minęły gdyż degustowałem w 2018r. Dziś jednak kwota 60pln byłaby moim maximum. Sam producent sugeruje że produkt jest dedykowany do koktajli. Dodatkowo warto wspomnieć iż ten rum u naszych zachodnich sąsiadów jest około 5-10pln tańszy. Także może warto wybrać się na narty do Czech - ja zawsze “z czymś” wracam z tamtąd :). Mimo wszystko rum ma ducha Cuby, a tego ducha próżno szukać u konkurencji - szczególnie w markach własnych dyskontów.

Cheap (12€) entry level rum for non complicated drinks

Goes very well with coke, according my wife almost same as Bacardi with better aroma. Who knows how women judge :) anyway, in coke I can accept it too.

Very simmilar to Havana Club Especial another cuban rum, that tastes very ordinary, no special notes or aromas.
Solid for Mixing, not worth buying for sipping.
And as a rum lover of course you want to Sipp !!!

This is an awfull rum. Great color. Dark and nice. The aroma has a distinct hint of smoke. The taste is not very pleasant. This is an awfull burning rum.

it's not a great rhum but for 15€ i think you not found better. if had more smell, can give 7.

Little more smell, and a better taste than the 3 year old rum. Stil a cheaper rum.
