Centenario Reserva de la Familia 18-Year

Tasted on 6/4/23. Pours dark reddish amber. Mild aroma of wheat . Super sweet and buttery. Oily thick palate. All of the sugar flavors are here. Outstanding taste.

A good blend, very balanced, soft burn, sipping or mixing, less sweet, little fruits, little toffee, some vanilla, we are family *sing*

Drier and woody with dark chocolate. But for similar price I vote for Centenario 20.

It was very good. I just felt a little strong for a 18 year aged.

Fruity with a nice aroma and some complexity. Enjoyable, but not great. A bit too rough around the edges.

My first Centenario. Picked up a bottle. Plenty sweet but complex. I get the Caramel and tobacco.

I tried the Centenario 18 yr after sipping a couple glasses of the Centenario 12 yr. The contrast was surprising. The 18 yr had the lovely signature flavor of Costa Rican rum, but lacked the depth I expected. I found myself reaching back for more of the Centenario 12.

Nice drink. Sipped with ice good aftertaste, clean and not to sweet.

Didn't enjoyed this rum. Very close to whisky or brandy.
