Soft, slightly raisiny scent. No alcohol aroma. Very little sweetness with a very long warming finish. Overall a dry rum. In the taste, I recognize just a little raisins and maybe a pinch of spices.

I have a sample of this rum and when you smell it, it immediately reminded me Menthos. It is pure menthol with spicy. The taste is very fresh and the body goes to the spicy tones, but the aftertaste is mild and minty. This would be a perfect product as a mouthwash! As a rum, I have to rate it with 5.

It s no sugar added, unadultered traditional rum, but really not much to say, tried it at the sugar museum ...

Seduced by a promotion in the store and the chance to experience a new rum, I purchased this New Grove rum.
The aroma features fruity notes, citrus and peach. You can also find vanilla or almonds flavour.
The taste is sweet at first, then a little oaky, a little vanilla.
Finish is short and alcoholic, quite harsh. I think it can easily work its way into fruit mixers.

I was curious about this new aged rum they sold in my local supermarket.
Because I hadn't tasted a rum from Mauritius yet, I thought New Groove would be the ideal starter for less than €30.
Well, was I wrong..
The rum was quite clear for an aged brown rum and there were no significant hints when I smelled it..
The description says it's aged on bourbon casks and that it has notes of vanilla and caramel but I didn't taste anything at all..

After mixing it with cola, which is a shame, it tastes a little bit better.

Since there weren't any reviews yet, I hope my review will prevent others of making the same mistake I made.
Don't judge a rum by it's fancy container or it's brand awareness.
