Coldstream Clear produced four types of Rum, this being the second one I have sampled. Their Dark rum is indeed very nice with a touch of maple syrup and vanilla. Too sweet for my liking but overall not a bad product.

This distillery was the only one around my hometown, so I have a very strong attachment to them. In the beginning, I used this rum in all kinds of cocktails - daiquiris, planter's punch, cable cars - and would name it my shot of choice, back when I was beginning my liquor journey.
However...
It barely tastes like rum. Super sweet flavours of maple syrup, bizarre citrus, artifical toffee, and chocolate. Still, I find a place for this bottle on my bar due to its use as a sweetener in creamy, chocolatey cocktails.
