Tastes stroger than 43%, but very smooth and rich mouthfeel.
A bit of oak and tabacco, than a vanilla. I like it!
Nice surprise for me. Aroma is full of wood, caramel and sugar cane. Taste is very intensive with flavours of caramel, vanilla, oak and tobacco. Smoked finish with medium burn.

In der Nase vielschichtig und dynamisch. In der Schublade eines alten Holzmöbels liegen vergorene Früchte wie Birnen, weisse Trauben, Quitten, Litschis und Äpfel die mit Karamellkrümel bestreut und Kakao bepudert sind. Harz tropft aus den Holzporen der gewachsten Oberfläche.
Am Gaumen etwas dreckig und frech, gut so ! Holz, gewachst, geölt, geröstet, verkohlt, verbrannt, in Karamell getunkt und mit Schokolade übergossen, ein Tropfen Petroleum gibt dem Ganzen einen speziellen Kick.
Im Abgang lang und herb. Eine geteerte, alte, eichene Eisenbahnschwelle bleibt lange im Mund.
Ein toller wilder Kerl aus dem vollen Holz geschnitzt. Trägt Holz Nuancen ähnlich eines Caroni Rum in sich.

Rich amber in the glass.
The nose is complex and dynamic. In the drawer of an old wooden furniture are fermented fruits such as pears, white grapes, quince, lychees and apples that are sprinkled with caramel crumbs and powdered cocoa. Resin drips from the wood pores of the waxed finish.
A bit dirty and naughty on the palate, good one ! Wood, waxed, oiled, toasted, charred, burnt, dipped in caramel and doused in chocolate, a drop of petroleum adds a special kick.
Long and tart on the finish. A tarred, old, oak railroad tie lingers in the mouth for a long time.
A great wild guy carved from the full wood. Carries wood nuances similar to a Caroni rum.

This is a delightful drop for the age ... Not amazing which is why it only scores an 8.
Woody , smoky lovely flavour ... A touch wetter than a dry Cuban rum but still full of depth ...couldn't distinguish this between the 12 flor de Cana de Cana (I know the floor de Cana only has a drop of 12 in it ) ... This might explain the smokiness and woodyness

I tried this yesterday. This is Nicaraguan rum but I think it's close to the Mombacho, not Flor de Cana.
Although it is less soft oily, it has a dark chocolate flover and is more rich taste.
I favorite, recommend this.
