Abuelo Oloroso Sherry Cask 15-Year

Embase noble en caja con forro de terciopelo. Color oscuro madera con ligeros.tintes de rubí. Olor suave. Paladar firme y seguro, alcohólico al principio y dulzón al permanecer tiempo en la boca. No auema ni pica al tragarlo. Recomendable.

Thank God I'm not an expert... Just been drinking rums most of my adult life and fortunately my palate is not jaded with inteligencia. Therefore I rate this a ten... wonderful aroma, wonderful aftertaste on the palate, and fabulous to share with a close friend which I did. Sip slowly straight at room temperature no ice.

This is very short review - proportional to the volume of the glass and number of shots )

1. Rum JM XO 45°
Apples on nose, smooth, oaky. Very pleasant aftertaste.

2. Clairin 46.x°
Almonds, burnt sugar, rich and oily. Might be the most smooth out of Clairin range.

3. Damoiseau 66.9°
Rich, exotic taste, little ethanol kick. Somehow comparable to JM due to pronounced oak.

4. On desert: Abuelo XV
Just pure pleasure!

Scoring 9.5 for all of them. To be more precise and objective need 4 x 0.75L

If you like rhum that are sweet, easy to drink and full of flavor you have here the perfect one. Strong Oak cask note and sugar really present. As a sweet rhum lover, that’s the best one i’ve ever had!

The best of the three in my opinion, heavy sherry character on par with Dos Maderas Luxus.

Really great rum, that is has a really nice overall quality. Sweet but not to sweet, so may layers. And the taste just stays in your mouth for a long time. You can for sure taste the Sherry influence on this one - really nice. The Tawany version is just a litter touch better Integrated ......... try it.

A little spice, caramel, vanilla, smooth, nice colour. A real surprise.
