Nice bottle, rounder than the 1995.According to the label this rum has grown old more than 11 years. But in fact he remained 17 years in oak barrels and bottling in Guadeloupe in 2015. A beautiful copper color with hints of vanilla, honey, banana. The typical vegetable flavor of agricole rum is present. A great strength in the mouth, fruity with the ever present oak. Very sweet with a long finish. I like it ! Need to test the 1995. Guadeloupe for ever ;-)
Reimonenq Hors d'Age 1998 has a very high end bottle and label design. Surprisingly dark color. Prunes and cherries to the nose and palate when neat sipped. Extremely weird and offputting after taste followed up with a nasty burn. Quite disappointing indeed.
