Have had both the styles of this offered both before and after the molasses change. They do such a good job at Privateer that it's hard to imagine them not putting out a phenomenal product.

Amazing stuff, especially coming from Bacardi Silver. Excellent flavor that's just a little more advanced than you would expect in a white rum. Absolutely perfect for daiquiris and mojitos -- I probably won't be switching anytime soon.

This is s great mixer. It's perfect if you're making cocktails that traditionally use column still white rum, but want more flavor and aren't afraid to break from the traditional profile of the cocktail.

Floral on the nose. Clean and crisp. Delicate on the palate. Doesnโt linger. Tried it later with cola. Went right down the hatch. Note: due to a change in sugar supply this has been replaced by their โNew England โ molasses based rum.

I know a lot of people love this one but I found it smooth but bland.

Sipping this reminded me more of whiskey than rum. It mixes well, but even when it's given several minutes to mellow it's pretty harsh by itself.

I've tried several brands..this is hands down the smoothest I've had the pleasure of drinking..nice banana flavor captures you and slides down no afterburner. A great sipping rum

First silver rum I totally enjoyed sipping by itself! The bad thing about it is it is only sold in Massachusetts.
Smooth, perfect in a cocktail and doable on it's own. Bananas foster on the nose and another winner. Looking forward to checking out their distillery sometime.
Nose is rich, nice hit of treacly molasses dried fruits and wafts of toffee and chocolate.
"Chocolate, coffee, a little treacle, big juicy plump raisins, a little fig and a very nice oaky and slightly leathery bite on the finish."

Makes a damn good daiquiri.
Notes of banana, clove, and sea salt.
