Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac
The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

This is a great rum. Smooth, not too sweet and still has a good kick.
Have tried various caribean rums and can't find anything near as good.
Very nice Amber Colour. Smell of caramel banana and vanilla. Open 5/10 min before drinking Very smooth when you drink it and then becomes really balanced and complex. Small notes of spices on the finish
It is more rum than the 23 year but I think the difference in price is to much between the two. Still a very good rum
Sweet scent, very balanced taste with only a hint of sweetness and a warm full-bodied complex taste. Zacapa is hyped but the hype is largely justified. A great rum.
Dolce e caramello molto ben bilanciati. Sia al naso che in bocca.
Finale molto lungo e persistente. Caldo.
Da gustare a lungo e con pause.
Molto "appetitoso" e migliora col tempo e l'ossigenazione.
Si può abbinare a cioccolate varie, anche se si rischia di coprirne i sapori "nascosti".
Non eccessivamente complesso, è comunque un prodotto che strizza l'occhio al grande pubblico.
Forse il Re dei rum "commerciali"?
This is about $90-$100 at the stores around here, it's definitely worth it and it's on my top 5 list of best runs I ever had.. Not as sweet as the Plantation XO but the flavor it has can not be matched anywhere else, i love this rum but it's just so damn expensive you might want to save this for those "special occasions"
A few words come to mind...flawless, polished and refined. From the nose to the finish, the aroma of maple and caramel....I almost want to pour it on some pancakes! So far, this is in my top 2 or 3 bottles.
Meen ikke helt så fantasisk som den kunne være... Der mangler noget fylde. Ikke sikker på at det bliver et genkøb
This is a fine blend with a lot of taste. Not to strong but with a nice touch of caramel.
Very nice if you combine it with a good cigar.

It is rich with coffee notes and a little tobacco.
