Ron Zacapa 23 Solera Rum was created in 1976 in the highlands of Guatemala, where it is distilled in a copper-lined column still from fresh cane juice before solera aging.

The 500 year-old Spanish Sistema Solera method is used to age Ron Zacapa 23 in white oak casks. This results in a combination of rums aged between 6 and 23 years.

The current Ron Zacapa 23 bottle features a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle.

It tooks me 1 year to finish the bottle and i finish it in a cocktail with some Kahlúa (coffee liquor). The problem about this ron there is no amazing flavor or complexity it is very simple and by definition may be easy to drink. Final is very short, not a memorable one for sure. Definitly not buy anymore will go instead for the Botran 18 from Guatelema too but much more complex and well worked.

Really disappointed with this one. Nothing positive to say at all. Barely good enough for mixing.

Neck pour was decent. After that a sickly sweetness developed. Didn’t like drinking this much sugar without knowing.

I've tried Zacapa 23 on many occasions. It's loaded with extra sugar or something and it's not at all a 23yr aged rum. I'm not easy to please and this falls short. Way short. I do give a great deal of credit to Zacapa for opening the eyes of buyers vs products like Bacardi and Capt Morgan. Notice that most people put coke in those. I just want to sip neat.

Very deceiving rum period. It's like lets mix and match and pray. I can hear them saying "Those idiots see the 23 & its a sale". Steer clear of this mismatch. Let me add that I see alot of high ratings? If I was a beginner (novice) I might misjudge this also. Sorry my rating stands!

This was one of my first 50 euro plus bottles so I was stoked to get into it - and I got really disappointed. Absolutely not worth the price. For 50 bucks there are way better rums to be had.

The rum is honestly not too bad. I would give it maybe a 5-6 but it's impossible to tell what it really is. Too dark to be natural, sugar added no doubt. This might be good if it was a pure rum but for no3. 3, needs improvement

Prijde mi jako o neco jemnejsi 12 lety Eldorado, vzhledem k cene a vseobecnemu hodnoceni pro me celkem zklamani...

Edit...
Po pomalem nabirani zkusenosti ve svete rumu. Musim hodnoceni snizit. Treba lidem jednou dojde, ze krome kavy, se i prave srdce rumu pozna, pokud neni zkazeno extra cukrem.
