Guatemala | Aged | 40.0% ABV | Column Still (1-4) Distilled
Ron Zacapa 23 Solera Rum was created in 1976 in the highlands of Guatemala, where it is distilled in a copper-lined column still from fresh cane juice before solera aging.
The 500 year-old Spanish Sistema Solera method is used to age Ron Zacapa 23 in white oak casks. This results in a combination of rums aged between 6 and 23 years.
The current Ron Zacapa 23 bottle features a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle.

I bought this rum to add to my arsenal. It goes down easy and mixes well with pineapple or orange juice.
Love the honey taste. Very sweet and extremely tasty.
The body it’s just perfect. The flavour, with the hint of sweetness mixing with the smoked flavour is just right in the exact amount. Quality/Price rate is very good
Super ron! Suave y con aroma a canela. Zacapa no decepciona
A very nice smooth Solera rum, fairly priced and available in many establishments I frequent such as Cuba 8 Art Museum and Enteraintment Center, Guantanamera Cigar Lounge and Ball & Chain Jazz & Salsa Lounge in Little Havana, Miami, Florida.
This was my first real bottle so it will always hold a special place. I love the taste, the smell, and the colour. Some say it is too sweet but I do not find that. I love the oaky, butteryness of the first sip, that slowly fades into a more recognizable rum flavor. The smoothness of this bottle is unmatched and will never burn going down. As I do drink this one a lot sometimes I will add a small lime wedge in with the ice (I know blasphemy) and it compliments it quite well and makes for a different experience. If you live in the US and can get it for the $45 price tag its a no brainer. Where I live generally I get for 60-75 but still worth every penny. My favourite so far.
Jeden z najlepszych rumów jakie piłem. Przeważnie używam rumów do mixowania, ale temu wystarczy tylko jedna kostka lodu.
This is my favorite rum for mixing with a sweet drink. Not the best in terms of drinking on ice
You have to taste this!
One Of the best rum to this price

Actually quite dry and oaky.
"Flavour builds if you leave the rum in your mouth for a little longer allowing it to coat the palate."
Wonderfully intricate with honeyed butterscotch, spiced oak and raisined fruit...

"The interplay between the wood of the barrel and the liquor contents gives the alcohol its flavour, colour and character..."

Decanted, the rum displays a surprising body in the glass for something so apparently light, and has slow and strong legs down the side of the glass.
