Gentle and smooth aroma, same like first taste. Than harsh wooden tones ending in shorter dry astringent aftertaste.
For me the weakest one from Triptych/Principia/Destino/Patrimonio quartet a tested...

Naozaj vydarený kúsok z Barbadosu. Kvalita menom Foursquare sa nezaprie. Krásne vyzretý rum s plnou chuťou,no vôbec necitit tak veľké % alkoholu. Krásne vybalancovany

Rum tasting in Brussels with my good old friend continued with Foursquare Patrimonio. Very nice high end bottle and label design. Blacked out bottle. Bright golden color. Strong alcohol mixed with plenty of oak and mild toffee and vanilla to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Strong and dry burn at the end. Bottled at 116 Proof it is potent stuff. It might be much better at around 100 Proof.

Is great, one of the best Foursquare products. Is really good in flavour and smell.

Even visiting Barbados I had a hard time getting a sample of this rum. Now I have my own bottle with much anticipation. Classic FS aged color this one for 15 years at a nice 58% alcohol. No heavy alcohol on the nose explosive cinnamon flavor with a nice heat on first sip. What a great barrel pick by Velier Ex bourbon Ex sherry. Unlike any ECS and so much better than Principea. Solid 9.5 being stingy with my 10’s.

I would put it just half step below the top ones, I would say 9,5. Wonderful round, smooth and full. Ideal for long evening sip. For sure this is not for beginners who generally looks for sweet rums. Same I did when I started :) Anyway, you will not make mistake if you get his one. I can find dark chocolate, raspberries and coffee, also of citrus fruits.

While not on Destino level, still a brilliant rum with notes of raisins, dates, figs, grilled pineapples, pecans, Hazlenuts, molasses, Luxardo cherries, treacle, maple syrup, prunes, dark chocolate, raspberries, roses, nail varnish, soil, violets, and espresso.

As a South American who grew up by the sugar cane fields Rum has always held a special place in my heart.

I had high hopes to find a dram that would knock my socks off. Patrimonio wasn't it. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing drink, but everything I'd heard set the bar too high perhaps.

Strong rum agricole feel, with a sweetness that rounds out those earthy flavors but with a sharp finish I was not expecting.

Really good nose that invites you to take a sip. Vanille , toffee, red fruits (cherries). Fine balance between nose and taste, but the Abv (58) takes over really quick and it kind of sticks on the tongue. Bit to sharp in the end with a semi long woody aftertaste experience. A really good Rum, but it’s not for those who prefer sweet rums in general.

Tasted at the liars club in Manchester, very simple dark bottle and label, deep brown in colour, very smooth initially but a alcohol burn soon follows down the gullet probably due to the 58% proof, instantly moreish, sweet but not overly so.
A smoke and oak taste that is very warming,a taste of raisins.overall, very nice. Probably the most expensive rum i will ever taste.
