Foursquare 2007 12-Year

The incredible aroma as soon as you open the bottle - a punch of immediate honey and vanilla followed by the richer aged woody characteristics.

Flavors were strong caramel, vanilla, and a bit of a burn at 59%. An enjoyable sipper for a single 1.5 oz pour, but I wouldn't go back for more than one without calming it down with some chilled distilled water.

I wouldn't recommend for use in cocktails - the subtle flavors you are paying for would be quickly overwhelmed.

As i open the bottle expecting this to be somewhat the same as the 2004 i am suprised. This 2007 is a bit smoother than the 2004, tasting them side by side. I actualy have only one word for this. Excelent.

I have to say that I still need some time to really appreciate that strong rums. So after some time maybe I would increase rating to perfect 10. Aroma is full of bournon, sugar cane, vanilla and oak. In mouth you can feel a lot of oak, vanilla, fruit and bourbon again. Very well balanced rum with great and long finish.

Another great rum from Foursquare. I normally don’t spend this much on a bottle of rum but my beautiful wife gave me a bottle for Christmas (yes I have the best wife ever). The rum is a perfect balance of sweet, wood, and aroma. This bottle will be savored slowly!

Once again Mr seale continues to blow the mind with his exceptional cask series . Incredible in depth cask flavours with slight noses of vanilla but you know that's natural and nothing is added ..

Gentle aroma with vanilla tones. First taste is sweet full and fresh. You can feel the strenght but I would not expected 58%. Aftertaste is average with nice peach tones. Very good rum 8,5 points.

Just had some of this at the source in Barbados. Good rum, alcohol forward but does not burn. i would give it a 8.5 in truth but so be it. Anyhow, great rum, smooth and non adulterated.

Tasted this at a rum tasting. We had 7 different rums without extra added sugars. It had wonderful taste and smell. And a natural sweet taste. Will bus it soon!

A tricky review to write, as this might be the weakest of the current Foursquare line-up, BUT, it's still a VERY good rum.

For me though, it's lacking a little something to really make it distinctive.
What it IS, is a beautiful example of a really good, honest rum. No added sugar, properly aged, smooth and a lovely favour.

It's just other Foursquare options are better!
