Saint Lucia | Light | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4) Distilled

Sweet, woody, vanilla. Quiet acid-tart notes. It's very soft. Not for sipping but it`s pure for regular drinking. .,.,.,.,. Весьма приятный ром для обычного застолья, мягкий, без последствий.
Обычный повседневный ром для коктейлей, кажется интереснее стандартных брендов
Had this as a mixed drink, pleasant, but there are better white rums
This is purportedly the local go-to in St. Lucia as explained by the importers of this brand. It’s a very good example of the style: akin to Jamaican pot still rums, ripe with fruity funky esters but never overpowering. Where St. Lucian rums depart, I’ve noticed, is in a nice touch of coconut and full bodied creaminess, which may or may not be added (I suspect so, unless, perhaps, the rum is fat washed). The only detraction is that hint of distillate “vodka” flavor that hits after a sip, it kind of cheapens the experience and makes you wonder whether or not this is built with additives after a high proof distillation. Nevertheless, it is an excellent white (not light!) rum for the price point, and should be in your bar to help add body and flavor to tropical cocktails calling for Jamaican - or specifically St. Lucian - white rum.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The infancy of Chairman's Reserve rums

There is a saying in the spirits industry that if one starts out with crap, then there is very little hope for improvement by aging or introducing additives. This distiller never produces crap as seen from this baby to all of their other fine Chairman's Reserve rums. It is similar to a white Jamaican rum such as J Wray Silver, but a lot smoother. Bounty rums are the favored rums on the island and some of them finally made it to a nearby liquor store. This one mixes quite well with just about anything, but drinking neat or on the rocks is out of the question.
And for those who don't know where this beautiful island is, it is about 100 miles northwest of Barbados in the eastern Caribbean.
