Ron Millonario Reserva Especial 15 rum is created from molasses using a 1930's Scottish column still and aged in American and Slavonian oak casks up to 15 years using the solera blending method.
The Ron Millonario company was founded in 1950, and in 2004 was purchased by the Italian Fabio Rossi.

Visited the La Mauny distillery while in Martinique. Easily the best distillery tour which ended with a full open bar. La Mauny Le Nouveau Monde was priced at EUR 110 at the distillery. High end packaging, bottle and label design. Mahogany color. Traditional super dry Rhum Agricole flavors with spices, vanilla and mild citrus over powered by plenty of oak. Mild burn at the end being such a dry Rhum. Rhum Agricole lovers can easily add 2 points to my score.

A very good agricole rum with spicy, vegetal and aoky flavors. The sugar cane is present but don't take the lead. Rounded in mouth with vanilla notes. I was disappointed with the Extra Ruby but it reinforces my tasting for other products from this brand.

One of the best agricole rum i have a drank. Very rare edition, smells strange, excellent aftertaste, large bouquet, the finish is a little bit harsh.

Iโd you like a sweet dram then I can recommend this one. I wonโt buy it again because it lies in that middle ground where itโs not complex enough to really โsitโ with and to sweet for most mixing purposes.
That said, I finished the bottle quite quickly just necking it because I like drinking out of a wicker bottle.
So maybe I will get another bottleโ๏ธ
