When rating a liquor, keep in mind how much you paid for it. For an inexpensive Run, it has a decent throat feel and good flavor. Obviously, a spice mix is added for scent, however, it mixes well with most common mixers, and does the job. Definitely not the "in the rocks" type, but when I'm spending less than $20 for a liter+, it is much better than it's competition. It should be without saying, but you cannot expect the quality of a $40 bottle of rum for $17.
