United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Better taste to original Bacardi but still not great

Artificial colour, lots of unnecessary flannel, annoying advertisements that try to convince you that this is a man's drink.
Now, I have zero interest in machismo, but if this is a man's drink, I am curious what a lady's drink would be like.
Syrupy mouthfeel, very sweet. Similar to Captain Morgan Spiced: Chocolaty, cocoa, a bit of raisin. There is a hint of wood in the background, which is missing in the Captain Morgan. This really is a liqueur. And I guess it could be flavoured vodka just as well.
A "rum" for people who do not like rum. I do not see the point.

Good spiced rum for its price.
Of the entire budget line of Bacardi, Oakheart looks the most decent among the others.
It's very sweet, but it's not a problem for coke

Good rum for drinking with coke, makes interesting conocotion when mixed :)
Smoother than Capt in my opinion. (and often cheaper!)
My go to house rum for all things cola!

Don't like it straight, it was made for mixing with coke. Best value for this price.
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
