Puerto Rico | Spiced | 35.0% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

The best room I drunk so far. Very disappointed that it is discontinued in Ireland. Good taste , smooth, spiced , you can drink with almost every combination- coke , cranberry juice , or on its own
Ok, I get it; you do not like to drink a rum from such a huge company, because most people drinking it most likely don’t understand/appreciate a proper rum. But if you give it a try; mixed with cola it is just seriously good.

I have not been a fan of the Bacardi line up. After some bad advertising and being led to believe their Spiced was the same.
On the nose, I get a citrusy vanilla combo. But the taste is pleasantly better! A brief spice note gives way to citrus followed by vanilla and a honey note.
I would go for this if you want to sip straight. Good flavors of spice

I find myself drinking this with cola at bars , where it’s the only “dark” rum, as there are only white rums. One could argue why I went to such a bar in the first place. But it beats a Bacardi Blanca in cola.

Don't like it straight, it was made for mixing with coke. Best value for this price.
Smoother than Capt in my opinion. (and often cheaper!)
My go to house rum for all things cola!

'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Good for mixing 6 out of 10
Best for a budget rum and coke or cuba libre, nice oaky flavour, dried fruits and vanilla.
