Centenario 30-Year

Picked up at the airport in Costa Rica with the 25 and 20 and love it!

If you are ever in Costa Rica pick up a bottle. A must have for your bar. It will impress your friends

This is a 40% ABV solera from Costa Rica, made from a blend of rums aged between 8 and 30 years. The rums are aged in charred American white oak barrels after whiskey, bourbon and wine. Only a limited number of bottles are produced each year.

Bottle: Luxury, comes in a nice case
Colour: Dark Amber

Nose: Very smooth and pleasant without any alcohol pungency. There were recognized vanilla, caramel, sweet raisins, whisky, tobacco and charred wood in the nose.
Taste: Velvety sweet with a slight burn on the tongue and in the throat. I have to say that it's really good rum. The rum has a syrupy consistency and in addition to vanilla and caramel, there are again raisins, honey, sweet orange, almonds, liqueur wine and very subtle oak wood.
Aftertaste: Medium long

Conclusion: This is a really excellent rum and for the selling price (approx. 100 EUR in CZ) it is a really bargain. Lovers of sweet rums can add the missing half point.

This rum is the best i have every tasted.

Aroma was rich with fruity notes.
Palate was amazingly smooth, with good finish too.
Overall 10/10.

Sajnos a Real-t még nem volt módom megkóstolni, de az eddigi tapasztalatok alapján ez a legjobb Centenario. Hagyni kell időt a levegőzésnek és az élvezetnek is, mert hosszan kényeztet. Első osztályú sipping rum.

Deep flavours, a really complex rum, but at this price range you can find betters.

Some people have to stop submitting bogus ratings just to bring the number down. Diplomatico is trash compared to some of these better sipping rums. Centenario Rum has an unbelievable complexity with layers of flavor that pairs well with any cigar your smoking. This rum is a 9.5-10.0 all day long.

Vůně jemná, ovoce(hrušky), vanilka, koření, dřevo
Chuť jemná, ale bohatá, sladká, ovocná, kořenitá, dřevitá, (hřeje teprve až v hrudi).
Dochuť sladší, lehce čokoládová, kořenitá, přetrvává dub
Je to jemnější, ne tak "spiced" verze pětadvacítky.
Výborný, pro mne lepší než Real.
