I had a few drinks of Ron Botran Añejo Oro while vacationing in Oaxaca Mexico. Pretty decent bottle and label design. Light golden color. Strong alcohol to the nose and palate if neat sipped. Mixes rather well with your favorite soda.
Calidad relación/precio excelente. Un trago para mezclar, inclusive se deja tomar en las rocas, aunque no es muy recomendable. Algo dulce en paladar, pero se siente mucho el alcohol. Queda muy bien en los cuba libres.
Not complex or very flavorful with a slight burn. This would be considered a introductory gold mixer. Better than Bacardi and many of the other golds in its price range $18. Light amber color that just doesn't represent itself very well, but it is rather expected since it is not aged very long.
This is a decent rum, but nothing spectacular. Mix with coke and you'll be fine.
Nothing very special, but I'm glad to own it. It worth tasting.
This replaced the original black label when they did a rebranding effort a few years back. This rum was why Botran nearly died out! Such a horrible bien and agregarte, si glad it didn't last very long.

Perfect value for the price 6 out of 10
Not too much sweet, big body missing but for the price (10 Eur 0,7l bottle) it is perfect for visitors and mixing.
