Skip Bacardi if you want to taste good rum. When my options were limited, I tried Anejo, and it is materially better than Bacardi white or black. That being said, it is still a rum for mixing and a poor value.

Good at a bar mixed with coke. Hard stomach alone.

One of the better Bacardi's, but even still Bacardi...
I randomly decided to try this at a tasting event despite my better judgment. It wasn't much better than the regular Bacardi Gold, which isn't good. I think this was the last time I ever purposefully drank Bacardi and that's just fine. There are better rums and if you truly are a fan of Bacardi, just know it's not worth the few extra dollars. Just buy your Gold and save your money.

Not as awful as other bacardi's. This one is almost drinkable in a pinch. Use only for mixing.

Nose plum, pruneaux. Smooth mouth. Flat finish. Good surprise. Conditions: partying

Regular golden rum, definitely less impressive than any other in its price tier. I would only get it if nothing else was available.

A good rum for cocktails. Not suitable for sipping
Light oak spices and some gentle alcohol notes.
"It’s light with a slight butteriness, theres a little integration of oak and a touch of light spices. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
