I always drink the this either straight or in mixed drinks when in Mexico. Not easy to find in the US. Very flavorful and not harsh .

I'm not going to lie, and I'm know to. But this is and will always be my go to rum for mixing. I first met this sweet thing almost 20 yrs ago when I worked in the Bahamas. Let me take you back. I hated any rum throughout my teenage years, I could not finish a glass. But when I became a young man and laid my eyes on her. I became hooked, I could not get over the smoothness nor how great this tasted in coke. Knowing that they did not sell any in Canada at the time, I ended up grabbing myself enough to keep me content while I went back home.

Good in a pinch. Has a Dominican taste. Similar to Brugal.

This rum is fantastic! Great depth, great character. Bold but still pretty smooth. Great rum for the money! One of my most frequent buys!

While I would not grade the Bacardi Añejo a 7 and likely a 5/6 as a drink alone rum, it is my favorite rum in Cuba Libre. I also love this rum with strong juices as it gives it a little stronger taste.i.e mango...and yes normally, I would use clear rums w juices. This is my favorite Bacardi rum as it is still very close to the original Cuban formulas ..it is made in Mexico, not in Puerto Rico

I had a bottle for about 15 years and never opened it. It had an older label than what is available today. I believe the old version had a longer length of aging than the newer version. When I finally tried it, it was quite good. Perhaps I'll try the new version in the future.
