Bacardi 8 rum

Bacardi 8

United States | Aged | 40% ABV

Bacardi 8-Year is a blended rum, filtered using the Bacardi-pioneered charcoal filtering system and aged for eight years.

This rum was not released to the public until 1995, when the first limited edition Bacardi 8 was sold with a sherry oak finish in a Baccarat crystal decanter. Despite a price tag of $400 per bottle, the rum was hugely popular and led to the larger release of the blend without the collectors' features and price.

One of the best price taste ratio, this is a great rum you'll taste for the price which is asked

Full and smooth flavors like smoke/wood, but bourbon does predominate. Not sharp or strong.

This is so far removed from Bacardi Superior as its possible to be ! My favourite rum to have with a good make of cola (Theres plenty if you look around) This is great value for money and very well made ! Dont buy their cheap stuff but invest another $20 in a bottle of the 8 , you wont regret it !

For an aged rum it's just ok. I prefer the Flor de Caña 7 any day.

I had the opportunity to sample Bacardi 8. Not a bad rum considering the price range. Color is light amber. Aroma shows notes of vanilla. The legs are not long. Tasting reveals vanilla and butterscotch. Mild after burn with a short finish. I think it is ok neat but could make a superb coctail rum.

I always thought that was a mark made bacardi "for everyone." I was surprised while tasting the rum 8 years! I found it excellent, it does not attack the mouth. The oak and sugar/caramel flavor tastes good. It has a good smell of vanilla, but not very strong. This rum is one of my favorite for now.

I find it difficult to like Bacardi, but this one is not bad.

Shines in rum and cokes even against more "well regarded" rums, especially at this price point.

IMO, this is much better the Bacardi Anjeo, it has good flavor, a longer finish, deeper color and richness. A pretty good rum for sipping, it will perk your desire to drink better rums, not a bad thing!
