Honestly tried it because it has a cool name. Was not impressed, not memorable - unlike the label which was pretty sweet. Lacking in flavor.
Seemed like a cool company, liked the comic book aesthetic, always game for something new... Found myself completely agreeing with Joola69 as far as drinking it neat; alcohol, vanilla, oak, kind of boring. The company sells it at a reasonable price for "everyday drinking" which I interpret as "alcoholic drinks for people who are not cocktail or liquor wonks," a well bottle with conversation piece art. An interesting niche to go for.
I figured I'd meet it on its own terms after that and tried it in a daiquiri. It dutifully disappeared between the lime and sugar, and tasted like the best chain restaurant cocktail you could hope for.
So I can't recommend it to the typical reader of this site, but you won't be embarrassed serving it to guests who just want a decent rum and coke or something.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A 4.5 on my scale. Too young and strong, which goes with the comic book bottle label. Mixed it has a slight buttery flavor, but that’s not interesting enough to raise the rating. Not thrilled with the screw top lid
