I enjoy this one straight. It has a good clean taste.

This is my go to inexpensive rum. I ALWAYS have a bottle. Great price.

This one is a very nice and smooth rum from Panama, with some vanilla and spiced notes. Nice one to serve with a cigar to me.

Definitely worth the money. I can pick it up at my local store for around $13. It's somewhat smooth, but still has a slight burn. A couple of ice cubes takes care of that though. The taste isn't as in depth as the better rums, but still decent.

Ron Abuelo Anejo is a high-quality Panamanian spirit that, to my taste, represents a good starting point for a person acquiring an interest in rum. This iteration hints at rums in the upper echelon, and its humble price point, I think that's the best you can expect. The similarities to the Abuelo 7 Year are tangible, but not sufficient to stand on their own. It mixes best in drinks that want the rum to be "seen but not heard". Put this rum alongside it's older brother, and you have an excellent educational experience.

A good rum enjoyed straight and with coke

Vanilla on the nose, very very smooth, lots of sweetness, a bit of spice. Quite balanced. Excellent!

At about $13 on sale in my area this a surprisingly good rum.
