Lord Byron Spiced 12-Year

A great Central America rum spiced in Australia at Bryon Bay. Smooth taste.

Its true , a genuine 12 yr rum that has been spiced , a change from the normal 2 to 3 yr old stuff !
Lord Byron is a new small distillery operating out of beautiful Byron Bay in New South Wales.. whilst waiting for their own rum to age they imported a 12 yr old rum from Central America and spiced it themselves with no added artificial flavours or sugars etc.
A darkish golden colour in the bottle when poured the nose disappointed me.. just alcohol vapours like nail polish remover with a tiny bit of sweetness in amongst it.. but the taste was so much better ! Yes it was spicy but in a good natural way , no syrupy concoction here.. quite dry but definitely either mango or hints of pineapple.. some oak , cane juice and tobacco ...Nutmeg , cinnamon and a bit of vanilla. This is a spiced rum that can genuinely be sipped especially with an ice cube. Good value for money as well.
Bottled at 40% and 100% natural ingredients.. classy packaging also. Good job !!
