Unique bottle, but thatโ€™s not what stands out. The great flavor is! Not too sweet, just well made rum.

Love the bottle. The rum is a good seasoned rum. Hints of oak and wood. Good after-pallet. One of my top 10 rums in my library.

Smooth, not too dry on finish. Tried it during tasting while visiting the Foursquare distillery.

For the price I don't know of something better. I opened my first bottle this evening and poured a glencairn, letting it sit for 15 min. I've read a lot of reviews prior to purchasing and am happy to say yes, it is very good rum.

On the nose: molasses, sugar, and the hint of pot still rotting fruit that lets you know this is rum. Maybe fresh cane funk even.

Palate: quickly sweet followed by some heat, peppery notes, a dryness with oak but not too much at all.

Finish: vanilla, caramel, evolving with a hint of fruit. Very dry, lasts longer than expected for how long it's aged.

Overall, super happy I started my aged Bajan ratings with R.L. Seale's 10 year. It doesn't go the whiskey route I wanted to avoid, though you can see where a whiskey drinker would enjoy this. I'm pleased it's not overly woody and will maybe sit on this bottle a while before branching out to more oak forward offerings from Foursquare.

This is quite a nice rum, initial taste is a bit aggressive and you feel quite surprised at how sweet it is. At first it's comes with a short tail leaves you feeling it.

Once you get past the first sip you notice the slight vanilla spice with makes way to something I cannot detect the flavour of, but it's a nice taste.

All in all a great rum, very nice with 2 blocks of ice, and still produces flavour when the ginger ale is added.

Iโ€™m partial to Barbados runs. This is more complex than some of them. Not as sweet.

I will say up front this rum stings a bit, more than other rums with the same ABV. Once past that, this does everything it is supposed to do. I wouldn't call it special in any way, but it does what it should, nothing more, nothing less. May absolutely recommend if one is not looking for something unique or particularly interesting.

Rum is ok but it seems distiller focused more on packaging than product. Itโ€™s an ok drinker - better on ice than neat

This rum is going to stand out anywhere because of the shape of it's bottle. In the glass the color is amber caramel. The rum itself is good. It is a bit dry with no hint of sweetness. Tasting notes of wood, dry corriander, peppercorns and paprika. There is a little burn at first but it coats the pallet well. I love the slightly higher 43 ABV. It is not thin. No sugars. No additives. Aged 10 years and you really taste the maturity. Barbados rum from Four Square. Best of all is the purchase price for $27. I have it at 7.5.
