Bacardi 151 rum is one of the most well known overproof rums on the market. 151 tends to be the most common overproof strength because in pot stills this is the natural dillilation proof, but overproof rums in generally can range from 100-170+.

This is almost the worst booze I've ever drank! Don't worry, there's still a bottle that's worse. Someone brought a bottle of this to a party and even using it sparingly (about 1 oz in an 8 oz+ glass) in a Rum and Coke (which I never drink as it's a waste of rum,) it still made the whole drink taste like gasoline. This product burns like fire, bites like a crocodile and tastes like medicinal fuel (smells like it too.) There's way better Overproofed Rum in the world. Use Goslings, Hamilton or Plantation Overproofed Rum instead. You won't regret it.
Be careful. Extremely strong. Don’t drink it when drunk 🙄
My absolute favorite rum of all time. (Shout out Tech N9ne for telling me about this.) I could drink it straight or make my favorite drink of all time with it (caribou Lou). I cried and stocked up on it when it was discontinued.

Has a ton of flavor for a 151 6 out of 10
Everyone will bash this because it's the only 151 or over-proof they've tried. Yes, it's hot; it's 75.5% alcohol. No, it does not only exist to set things on fire (that could be why the bars bought it, but not why it was produced); if that was the case, that same argument could be made for every other 151 in existence. No, you shouldn't order a shot of this and shoot it. Bacardi is a huge name that everyone recognizes so naturally they have the most notoriety and are going to get the most reviews from those who are not familiar with rum.
This rum is a cream soda bomb with a ton of vanilla flavor. It tastes pretty sweet and I gathered a hint of citrus. Is this the best 151? No, there are much better, but this one is unique and good in it's own rite. This rum is a must-try, but probably not a must-buy (if you can even find a bottle to purchase). It shouldn't be hard to find a bar with a dusty bottle of this stuff hanging around.
